Nike is one of the biggest brands in the world, dominant in athletic and lifestyle apparel. They continually collaborate with athletes, celebrities, and the world’s biggest entertainment properties. Netflix’s Stranger Things broke onto the scene in 2016 with a new take on retro horror. Through Its consistent quality it has quickly become one of the biggest entertainment brands in the world. For the launch of Stranger Things 3 we created a collaboration between these two powerhouse brands.

The partnership was celebrated at the Bait X Stranger Things X Nike pop-up experience at Bait In Los Angeles, California. The store takeover included the Hawkins High apparel collection, a line of retro style clothing based on the school colors of Stranger Things’s Hawkins High School. The collection included three exclusive sneaker drops: Nike Cortez, Nike Blazer, and Nike Tailwind.

The store was wrapped in Stranger Things art, including an upside down Nike symbol above the entry, with the insides dripping in old school 80’s throwbacks and other Stranger Things decorations. DJ Skee spun classic dance hits from the era as the fans, lined around the building for entry, explored the store and purchased the exclusive gear.

The was an event so popular the collaboration continued a few weeks later with another exclusive shoe drop during San Diego Comic-Con, the Nike Tailwind 79. The shoes were available exclusively at Bait in San Diego, California during the convention. The shoes included a map of the Starcourt Mall on the paper wrapping inside the box and other nods to the blockbuster show.
