Xbox teamed up with Fanta for a giveaway with custom Xbox Series X consoles and controllers as the prizes.
The contest, which launched in eight countries across Europe, featured the campaign tagline “play with the colour you want,” referring both to the numerous Xbox controller colors available and the various flavors of Fanta. Each of the eight countries – Great Britain, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Norway and Netherlands – had their own sets of prizes.
As part of the collab, Fanta designed six custom Xbox Series X consoles and matching wireless controllers, designed to represent the most popular flavors in the brand’s portfolio – orange, lemon, exotic, fruit twist, grape and lemon-elderflower.
Players could enter by scanning the QR codes found on the side of specially-marked Xbox-branded Fanta packs. Upon scanning the QR code on the pack, players were instantly told if they’d won one of 1,600 codes for a free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. They were then entered into a weekly prize draw to win one of 15 controllers, and a grand prize draw to win one of two custom Xbox Series X consoles.
