To recognize one of the Xbox’s best-loved protagonists, Pharrell x Nigo-founded label Billionaire Boys Club created a pair of limited edition shirts emblazoned with the Master Chief, the lead character from the blockbuster series Halo. The first shirt featured the Spartan super-soldier in full camouflage armor wielding the game’s Energy Sword. The second design is realized with a stylized illustration of Master Chief’s helmet, elevated with a splashy camouflage pattern in line with BBC’s graphic history, which also graces the branding on the back.
Appropriately, only 117 pieces of each shirt was made available, reflecting Master Chief’s John-117 call sign. The special Halo shirts dropped on Billionaire Boys Club’s website and at flagships in New York and Miami on 11.7, another nod to the Chief’s call sign, and retailed for sixty dollars. The collaboration allowed fans to show off a powerful and unique homage to Earth’s greatest champion, and humanity’s greatest hope.
